The baby's first shower

My mom and my 2 sister-in-laws had a shower for me and the baby on Saturday, Feb. 9th. I just want to say thanks a bunch to them for all their hard work, love and support. Both of my sister-in-laws are expecting also. Everyone was so generous and it was so good to see so many people. I was 32.1 weeks in these pictures. We had an Ultrasound done on Wed 2/6/08 and they said everything looked good. He is measuring dead on with my due date at 4 lbs 4 oz. He loves to move around in my belly and kick me lots, but I love it!! I already know that I am going to miss that feeling, but I can't wait to hold him in my arms. Tomorrow I will be 33 weeks, so that means only 7 more weeks, and that's if I go to my due date, which I doubt they will let me go that long with my diabetes.

Here's my cute mom!! As you can see by the size of me and my belly, he is definitely growing!

The two on the left are my wonderful sister-in-laws and the one on the right is my cute cousin.

We laid everything out so we could get a good picture of all these fun things. There is such a great variety of everything! One thing is for sure, he is definitely going to be a outdoors/cowboy/sports kid. Carol and Getnry, my wonderful mother-in-law and sister-in-law also gave us a Fisher Price high chair/booster seat. I just realized it didn't get in the picture, because it was set up and strapped onto a chair already. We love you all so much. Thanks for all your love and support.

The Fro 1/14/08

This is Jess's pride and joy. He has so much hair and it's thick and it grows so fast, I hope our little boy inherits this from his dad. Jess didn't have drill for like 3 1/2 months, so he didn't cut his hair or shave. He frowed his hair out and so we took a picture. He cut it on the 31st of January, and when I saw him, I hardly recognized him without all of his hair. He looked like he was ready for his mission all over again. He said when he is out of the army (he has just under 2 years left) he is not going to shave or cut his hair for a whole year. Oh boy!

27.2 weeks on 1/6/08

I have been a huge slacker on keeping up our blog. We hope you are doing well. Christmas came and went so fast, but it was wonderful. Now we are just patiently waiting for this little boy to arrive. Here's a picture at 27.2 weeks. He's just growing. Jess is back in school and still working hard. I am just working and trying to stay calm while realizing I am going to have a baby in 7 more weeks!!!

Also, over the Christmas break we painted our laundry room orange and our cabinets above our washer and dryer white. Our next project is to get a utility cabinet installed so we have a place to store our ironing board, broom, mop, etc. and then Jess is going to hang a shelf and a coat rack. All of our coats are in the closet of our baby room, so we have to move them to make room for him!
