Our 5 Year Wedding Anniversary!!!!

Well I can't believe it, but we've been married for 5 years!!! Our anniversary was on Thursday, June 11th. It has been such a fun journey and it just keeps getting funner and busier:)!! (I wanted to post some pictures on here from our wedding day, but I haven't got that far yet. I have to find the prints and then scan them, so if you check back, there may be some). This anniversary was the very funnest to celebrate so far, at least for me. On Wednesday afternoon, my mom watched Hunter and I was able to get my hair done. It had been so long and was much needed. Nat even curled my hair for me, so I really felt all done up:). That night we dropped Hunter off to Gentry and Tyson at their condo. Poor Gentry had all 4 wisdom teeth out just the Monday before, but she was so kind to watch Hunter for us overnight. And Hunter has had such a rough week. He's been teething and getting his "I" teeth, which are apparently the worst to get from what I hear. He never really had any problems with any of his other teeth, just a little whiney maybe, but this week has been rough. He's cried a lot, wanted to be held and loved and cuddled, slept a lot, had a fever and needed more Motrin and Tylenol than he's ever had, has really swollen gums, and now has a runny nose and a little cough. Just today I could see little white spots on his gums, so they are coming, but just taking forever. So, I was really worried that he would be a little pill for her. Monday night he went to bed at like 7:30 pm, which never happens (he usually doesn't go to bed before 10 pm-1st child), and then he woke up at 6:15 am Tuesday morning (usually he wakes up between 8-9 am). I got up and fed him some oatmeal because he didn't eat dinner the night before, so I was sure he was starving, and he was really irritable and was running a fever. I gave him some Motrin and rocked him while we watched Backyardigans, and he fell back asleep and slept until 10 am. When he woke up, he was completely fine and running around and playing like nothing was wrong. This made me feel a lot better. And Hunter was so good for Gent. So, onto our anniversary celebration. . .

Here we are in front of Gent and Tyson's condo, getting ready to go to dinner.
We checked into our room. We stayed at The Anniversary Inn in The Biker Roadhouse room. It's one of their new rooms, and this was by far our favorite room!!! I didn't take as many pictures as I should have, but you can check out the room on their website, I would highly suggest this room. There's a motorcycle, unlimited pinball machine, pool table, flat screen TV, king size bed, and a huge bubble tub (someday we'll have a big tub too. I just love them!!!). We went to dinner at The Olive Garden and it was delicious!!!!!

Here's Jess looking tough on the motorcycle. No, it's not a Harley, it's a Honda Shadow, but so cool to have a full size motorcycle in the room. Someday my dream is to have a Harley or rent one and ride through Yellowstone. That'll be a long time coming, but I can dream right?:)

Jess playing pinball. The bed is in another room, on the other side of the wall behind me, and Wednesday morning I woke up to Jess playing pinball and those dang balls are loud. He did a lot better than I did, but one time I did beat him in Pinball at Fredrico's:). I'm sure I'll never be able to do that again.

Me on the bike. . .once again, just dreaming!!

Here we are in our tie breaking game of pool. Jess won, but it was close. We checked out Wednesday morning and then went and had hour massages at Kakoi. Then we ended our alone time with lunch at Angie's!! It was delicious and soooooo much fun!! I think this year was the funnest because we don't spend time with just the two of us like we used to before having a baby. I can't imagine our lives without Hunter, but it was also really fun to spend time with just each other. Honey, I love you soooooo much!!!!! Thanks for all you do for our family and for being such a hard worker, an awesome dad, and the best hubby ever!!!!! I love you!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend Camping Trip

Well, we headed up Blacksmith Fork Canyon Friday night before Memorial Day to "the camp spot." There's usually a big crowd of friends and family, but most everyone had other things going on this weekend. We really missed everyone, but we had a really fun and relaxing weekend. It ended up just being Jess, Hunter, and I and Gent and Tyson. Be prepared for a lot of pictures!!! You'll notice toward the end of the weekend, Jess wasn't smiling in many of the pictures:). Friday night we got up the canyon just before dark. We got the trailer and camp set up and then had some yummy tin foil dinners, with Turkey Steak in them, that Gentry and Tyson made. Then we just stayed up late talking around the campfire. Hunter fell asleep on our way up the canyon and stayed asleep in the truck until like 10:30 pm. Trying to get him to sleep good was not even and option Friday night. He cried and cried and threw up from crying so hard and then cried some more. He finally calmed down and went to sleep, but it was a long night.

Saturday we just hung out. Gentry and Tyson made yummy egg mcmuffins and fresh fruit for breakfast. Then they had to go plant flowers at Tyson's parent's house for the wedding. We just enjoyed being able to relax.

Hunter absolutely loved being outside, and he loved playing in the dirt or with sticks!! He's definitely all boy!!!

Here's Jess trying out his fishing skills off the bank late Saturday morning.

And here's one of the fish he caught. He caught about 5 or 6 fish over the weekend. Nothin' too big, but he had fun! He loves to fish, but doesn't get to do it enough!! Brady, Jenna, and Caden stopped to see us for a few minutes on their way up the canyon to go camping with The Woolf's. We chatted with them for a little while. Later that afternoon, Gentry and Tyson came back and we had hot dogs over the fire. Then we had a mean game of Hand and Foot, boys against girls, and we (the girls) whooped 'em!!:) Saturday night, Hunter had his first roasted marshmallow and he loved it. He was sure messy though:)

Sunday it poured!! So, we just relaxed in the trailer. (Well, I did sneak home to take a quick shower, going on day 3 of camping with no showers was too much). We were so happy to have a trailer to keep us dry!!

Here we are at the good ole Mountain Man Rendezvous on Sunday afternoon. The rain stopped and the weather cleared up a bit. We actually came up on Saturday afternoon to to get some homemade rootbeer, but they were closed, so we came back on Sunday. However, the rootbeer was really watery. We decided they diluted it to make it go further:). And thanks to Tonya's parents, for letting us borrow this back pack carrier, Hunter had a great time riding around and looking at everything. He just soaked it all in:)

Here's Chance, Tyson and Gentry

We thought about buying Hunter a fur hat, but we just tried them on instead. I'm not so sure that he likes it. He was a little too tall for me to put it on him good, and I think it might be a little small.

Sunday night Grant, Carol, and Chance came up to have dinner with us. We had yummy chicken teriyaki rice bowl things. They were delicious. Here we are around the fire, just hanging out.

Once again Hunter's playin' in the dirt!!

Grant and Jess

Chance, Carol, Gentry, and Tyson. Sunday night it was just Jess, Hunter, and I that stayed over. Everyone else went home. It was so much fun though.

Mom and Hunter, monday morning, eating breakfast. Jess had to head back home, really early Monday morning (Memorial Day) to go help put flags out with the scouts. When he got back, he cooked us some breakfast. Dad makes the best breakfast, especially when we're up camping. We had planned to meet up with Brady and his fam on Sunday to go on a little 4-wheeler ride, but since it poured we didn't go. So, monday morning after breakfast we got pretty much everything packed up, and then headed up to Sheep Creek to meet up with the Woolf's, in hopes that the weather would stay decent and that they were planning on going on a 4-wheeler ride, and they were.

Hunter LOVED riding on the 4-wheeler!!

Hunter, Jess, Mindi, and Caden. I don't know if you can tell, but yes I have masking tape on my sunglasses. I handed my glasses to Hunter before we headed out on the 4-wheelers, to get him to say "thanks" and he broke them, so luckily JennaVee had some tape. (Hunter said "thanks" for the first time on May 18th, on our way to Dustin and Sheena's to swim in the pool with Brody. I wasn't positive that that is what he said, but I was pretty sure. This whole weekend, Hunter said "thanks" a ton!! It's so cute!!) This was about as far up the mountain as we made it. There was still some snow, and because of all the rain, it was really muddy. We were waiting for a few more people and a big rain storm hit, you can kind of see the rain drops in this picture. So we found cover under some trees, and luckily it didn't last very long or lightning. But it rained hard and we were definitely wet and cold. Brady's mom and brother-in-law spotted some moose sheds, so that was pretty darn cool.

Here's the group of us, well except me. About 1/2 of Brady's family and us. The Woolf's are just like family to us. They always make us feel so welcome and don't mind when we tag along:)!

Hunter and Brady

Jess, Me, and Hunter. See, I told you he quit smiling:)

This is a lookout point at the top of one of the mountains overlooking Ant Flat Road. It was overcast and really bright so it's hard to see. Hunter's just hangin' on tight to his yummy twizzler licorice. A piece of licorice will keep him entertained for quite a while we found out.

I tried to sneak this picture:). I gave the camera to Brady and then hurried to stand behind Jess, but I couldn't get a smile.

I know there's like 50,000 pictures on here, but I just thought he looked so cute all bundled up with his little helmet on.

We were getting towards the end of our ride, and it was way past nap time. This kid's like his dad, if he's tired he's out:). Did you notice that Jess is smiling!!

We got home Monday afternoon and unhooked the camp trailer. Jess had to make another trip up the canyon, because we had 2 trailers to haul home, the camp trailer and trailer w/the 4-wheelers on it. So, he and Bunter went back up to get the 4-wheelers, which gave me a good headstart on getting the trailer unloaded and cleaned without worrying about watching Hunter. Well, I still had a lot of work to do, so I had just left Hunter in the house and turned on a movie for him to watch. I had checked on him multiple times and he was always just playing with toys, reading books, or watching his movie. Except for this one time, I walked in the kitchen from the garage to find this scene. . .Too funny!! He loves to take everything out of the diaper bag, well I forgot that there was a bag of licorice in there. And he loves licorice. Smart kid if you ask me:)

Jess took this picture Tuesday morning, after camping. What a cute little potlicker!! He had a long hard weekend, can't you tell?:) Well, I know that was a lot of pictures, I hope y'all enjoyed them.

Hunter, Jorie, and Rylee!!

The Thursday before Memorial weekend, I got to babysit Jorie while Jen was at work, so of course there had to be pictures!! She is so cute and sweet and cudly. Oh how I miss the cuddling, but I do love the wrestling of my sweet little boy. He is definitely all boy and loves to wrestle and be noisy. Jess loves to wrestle with him already and Hunter is catching on pretty darn quick.

Jorie was sad for a few minutes and then she spotted this toy, which she also has in pink, so this kept her attention and they played for, um not very long, but for a little bit:).

Jorie got sad again and so I thought maybe she was hungry, I put her in the high chair, but she wasn't really interested in eating, and Hunter started crying and whining. So, I played with them both and Jorie and I were rocking in the recliner when Jorie spotted the little activity center. She was really into this, so I put her in it so she could play and she loved it.

Jorie was acting hungry again and Hunter was also, so I had to feed them both at the same time. They were both content, so I just fed them where they were. I can't believe how different two kids can be. Jorie would take a bite of food and then look around and enjoy. When Hunter eats, especially when he was just eating baby food, I couldn't get the food to his mouth fast enough without him crying/fussing between each bite. Just as I was thinking to myself how good I was doing alternating spoons to feed the right kid the right food, Hunter got one bite of Jorie's baby food. Oh well, right:) (I did wash the spoon though).

After breakfast, I started a Baby Einstein movie for them and I hurried and unloaded the dishwasher. I could hear them talking and I walked back in to the living room to find Jorie fast asleep with her blankie. So, sweet! So I laid her down for a nap. I got to hurry and jump in the shower and then laid Hunter down for his nap and finished getting ready.

Hunter and Jorie both have USU outfits, so I have really wanted to get some pictures of them together. We did our best, but Hunter wanted to crawl all over the place and Jorie cried when she didn't have her blankie. I still think they turned out pretty cute. And thank goodness, Ashlee and Rylee came to visit, they were a big help in getting Hunter and Jorie to pay attention.

I LOVE this picture. Hunter was putting Jorie's binkie back in her mouth. He did this a few times while she was here, but he never tried to put it in his mouth. They are at such a fun age.

Here's Rylee and Hunter. I can't believe how big they are getting. Rylee just jumped in and was ready to play. Hunter's to the age where he likes to take things from others and he even pushed Rylee. So, I've got to figure out how to teach a 14 month old to share and be nice, and I'm afraid it will be a challenge for years.

I just really thought this picture is funny, the way Hunter's holding Rylee's face.

And can you believe how blond Rylee's hair is. It was black when she was born, and it's pretty much all white except for the very tips of her ponytail. I love it!!
