Do you think he needs a haircut??

Well, tomorrow's the big day!!! Hunter is going to get his first haircut on Halloween. I know he needs a haircut. It's so long, it drives me crazy! But I am so sad to get it cut off. Nat's going to cut it for him, so we'll post pics after tomorrow!!! His teeth are still making their way through. Both middle bottom teeth have broke through the gums and are clearly visible. As soon as I can get a picture, I'm going to. But I can feel and see them both!!! Where does the time go??

Carving Pumpkins

Well, we carved pumpkins Wednesday night with Dustin & Sheena and Brady & Jenna. It was so much fun to get together and hang out!!! Look out for that big knife in Jess's hand!!!

I'm a party pooper and didn't actually carve a pumpkin, I just scooped out this great big one so I could put Hunter in it and take a picture. Well, we did that, but the picture looks retarded and he was sad and crying, so we are going to have to try again.
Here's the pumpkins all lit up. Jenna was the only trooper of us girls to carve a pumpkin. In order from left to right: Brady's, Jenna's, Jess's, and Dustin's!!!
And here's the group of us. It's kind of a wierd angle because of where I had my camera. Oh well, you get the idea!!! Thanks for coming over guys!!!! It was fun!!!!

Hunter's 1st Hunting Trip

So, last Friday afternoon we headed up the canyon to hopefully help dad, or least be moral support, in getting a deer. Opening morning, he didn't see one deer all day, but he did see a bunch of moose. So, we were hoping to be good luck. We headed up Scare Canyon with Kev, Jen, and Jorie, they in their truck and us in ours. We split up towards the end of our drive and each took a separate road, hoping to spot something by covering more territory. We saw about 24ish deer, but no bucks :( Jess was bummed, but it wasa fun ride and we had a great night. We drove up to Dwight Norman and Kevin Sackett's cabin and had some yummy Taco soup for dinner, visited w/Grandpa Gibbs, Fred, Dwight, and the other Hunter, and even played a little 2-card. It was a fun night! I'm pretty sure there won't be many more times that mom will be allowed to go hunting, but it'll still be a few years before Hunter can just go with dad. Jess can hardly wait!! Hunter's all decked out in his carharts and camo, ready to go!!!

Loving the Jumper

Hunter loves his jumper. The first time we put him in it, he didn't really know what to do. He jumped a little, but nothing major. Now when he's in it, he jumps likes crazy and just smiles and laughs! Jess was watchin him while I was at work last week, and Hunter jumped for a little bit and then fell asleep. It' s funny, because he's not one to just go to sleep, I always have to bounce him. I guess that why this is so calming to him. I think it is such an adorable picture. Don't worry, Jess didn't leave him there. He took him out to finish his nap.

Last Sunday, we had him in the jumper again, and before I knew it he fast asleep. I wish I could fall asleep like that! Such a cute little potlicker, isn't he? And he's so peaceful.

I Love Fall!!!!

Yaaaaay!!!! I finally got my computer/camera problem worked out, so now I can't put pics onto the computer!!! I am so excited!! Sorry I am so slow at updating. I am starting a once a month trend, but I'm going to be better from now on. Between the camera problem and trying to keep up with life, time just slips away. Hunter will be 7 months old on the 29th, I can't believe it!!! He is so much fun. He is rolling all over the place, sitting up pretty good, and two nights ago, we spotted two teeth starting to come in. I'm sad to see him grow so fast, but I wouldn't want it any other way. He is sooooooo much fun!!!! I love him more and more every day!!!

Hunter and Jorie’s Fall Photo Shoot!!!!!
I love fall!!!!! This is my very most favorite time of year!!! I can’t wait until Hunter is old enough to play in the leaves. I have so many fun memories of that when I was young!!! Jen and I got together to take pics of these two. One day they are going to think we’re crazy for all the things we do. But, Hunter and Jorie both have little John Deer outfits that Kevin bought, so they definitely needed their picture taken, especially before Hunter grows out of his. Don’t they look so dang dute!!!!

Just some fun Halloween pics. I have wanted to get Hunter a Halloween outfit or some jammies, but I can't justify spending the money for something he'll only wear a few times, especially because he his costume for Halloween. The other day Jen and I went to Old Navy, and they had this shirt on sale for really cheap, so he finally got some Halloween clothes to wear. Aunt Misty gave him that bear and he just loves it!!! Thanks Aunt Misty!!

Just some more catching up!!

We went to Hogle Zoo last weekend w/Grandma Carol, Aunt Gentry, Tyson, Tracen, and Trevor. It was so fun. Hunter slept through a lot of it, but I think he really liked the train ride. Doesn't he look cute with his elephant hat on? After the zoo, we went to lunch at Ruby River, then on to The Gateway and Target for some shopping!! It was such a fun day!!! Thanks for
taking us Grandma Carol!!! We love you!!

So this picture of me is absolutely disgusting, but it's my proof of all my hard work. A few saturdays ago, Jess decided we, well me, should go pick all our pumpkins. He was in a biggest pumpkin contest, so he planted some seeds for some big pumpkins. So, we go out, Jess was my moral support through all this w/the crutches and all, and we were going to pull the little work truck into the field, so we could load up our pumpkins, well, the battery was dead, so we finally jump the battery w/my car and Jess drives the truck into the field and parks it next to the garden, turns it off and then tries to restart it. Guess what, the battery was dead. So, we first worried about load up all the pumpkins and were then going to worry about the dead battery. So we really looked like white trash, as you can see by my attire, and because it was raining, our truck was dead, he was on crutches and I was trying to lift wet, slippery pumpkins that weighed as much as me into the truck. I handled most of the pumpkins alright, but there were a handful that were very large and I was literally grunting as I tried to lift them. Jess just sat in the truck and watched and had some pretty good laughs. He told me he really would love to be helping me. I told him I knew that, but I could tell he was thoroughly enjoying himself. He didn't argue. I finally got the big pumpkins into the truck, but Jess had to walk away while I was trying, because he would just make me laugh everytime I started lifting a heavy pumpkin and then we'd both laugh and I would lose my grip or drop the pumpkin. I ended up rolling the great big pumpkins to the truck and then I had to do a mind over matter thing to be able to lif tthem. So, we may have looked like white trash, but at least we were laughing. It was quite an experience. And to top it all off, we had to tow the truck out of the field w/our 4wheeler. Any way, here's the end result. I think it turned out quite cute. I think we had about 22 pumpkins or so. I think next year, we want to have a pumpkin patch. I'm okay w/that as long as Jess isn't on crutches!!! :)

Here's Hunter and Jorie. We were hanging out at Kevin and Jen's the other night and we layed these two down to take a picture w/their matching pumpkin slippers. They layed there forever and just had a whole conversation. One would talk and then the other, it was so funny!!!

What's up homey? (okay, I have no idea how to spell that). Here's Hunter just hangin' w/Aunt Gentry and Tyson

So, for those of you who don't know, Jess had surgery on his ankle about a month ago, on September 25. He's been non-weight bearing and on crutches since and he can't wait to get rid of his crutches. He said when he's done w/the crutches, he's going to take them up to the gravel pits and shoot them. He's getting along pretty well and he's really good at hopping. So, here's the before surgery picture and the end result. He went to the Dr. today and he said he could bear wt as tolerated, and he should be rid of his crutches in a week. At least he gets a handicap parking pass for his last semester of school. I'm pretty sure breaking your ankle isn't worth that, but some good has to come out of it, right?

Just catching up :)

Dinner Time!!!!! Hunter is such a good little eater. He has been introduced to most of the baby foods and he loves them all!! He's not even a very messy eater, yet, which I am loving. I know he'll get messier, especially when he starts eating on his own, but it is so much fun to watch him grow and develop. He loves to sit in his high chair. When I first started putting him in it, he loved to rub his hands on the tray to make a screeching sound.

Here's our injured daddy. This is a picture of Jess a few days after he got home from Germany, babysitting w/his splint and all. Hunter had been to Tasha's, our babysitter, this day while I worked, but I don't usually get home until 8 or 9 pm so we usually make arrangements to have someone pick Hunter up so Tasha doesn't have him all day and night. Well, Jess felt like he could watch him for a few hours until I got home. I called him on my way home to see how things were and I would hear Hunter crying in the background. I hurried home, and this is what I found. Isn't it so sweet.

Aren't I a good mom, propping my kid up with his bottle? I don't even remember what I was doing, but I gave him his bottle and he was out cold after drinking it. I think it is such a sweet picture. It's a rough life, isn't it!

These are just some cute pics of Hunter in his huntin' gear. I think he looks so cute in his camo and his carharts. Jess just can't wait to take him hunting.
