TOO much TOO soon!!

So I ran the Freedom Run on July 3rd (a 15K) and my right foot was killing me off and on since! My left foot hurt the same way last year right before I ran Ragnar, but it got better and never bothered me again. So I figured it was gonna be the same this time. After a week of being in pain, I taped it for a few days and it helped A LOT! Then Holly hurt her foot and had the same symptoms and went to the doc and had a stress fracture. So I made a Dr. appt and went on the 20th. I didn't have any fractures (at least that were visible on the xray), but he diagnosed with tendonitis and put me in a boot for 3 to 6 weeks!! Ugh!!!!!! So no TOU 1/2! I don't want to ruin my feet! I'm so mad though!! He told me I overdid it, which I did!! Hopefully I'll only have to wear the boot for 3 weeks and then can start running again! Guess we'll see!! So Holly and I are twins now!!! And poor Gentry has a hurt knee but it's getting better! We're like a bunch of old crippled ladies!!

Should I be worried??

The next day Jorie was here and I was upstairs and I these two were downstairs playing with the pre-school toys. I could here them playing and then I heard Hunter laughing hysterically and Jorie saying, "No. No way." So I went to investigate. I found Hunter sitting on this table and Jorie was standing on the floor to the right next to those boxes. She had a baby in hand and then would hand another baby to Hunter and he would throw it on the floor and laugh his head off!! Poor Jorie was so concerned that he would even think of doing that and she pick it up and had it to Hunter again (as serious as could be) and Hunter would do the same thing and just LAUGH!! I had to turn my head for a minute because I thought it was so funny that he thought it was so funny, but he finally loved the baby!! OH BOY!!!

Well I had to go back to work July 18th and actually work for my money. I was very sad to leave my boys, but kind of excited to get back to what I do. My first day back was really great once I got to work. I hadn't cried and then Max woke up right before I left so I picked him up out of his bed to out him in bed with Jess and when I held him, I lost it. But I was stopped crying after a few minutes. So the first day back felt like a break, but I had to work the next day too adn I wasn't excited to go back for round 2, but it WILL get better! Plus I'm going from full-time to part-time in 1 more week, so that will make a difference! So Jen and I are swapping babysitting now and Hunter LOVED having Jorie come over. He kept saying, "c'mon Dorie c'mon." Then he would call for her and say, "Dorie Ray Dibbs." Ha ha! He learned his full name not too long ago and now he thinks everyones middle and last name are the same as his! According to Hunter, I'm "Mommy Ray Dibbs." I LOVE him!! Just had to share these cute pictures!

That night we went out to Paradise and Hunter hadn't had a nap that day. On the way home he feel asleep and this is what we saw.....

Cowboy hat on and cards in hand!!! What a cutie! Cards will keep him entertained for A LONG time!! Tyson taught him to play 2 card pick up last month or so! Hunter just laughs at the cards flying and then he pick them up and it definitely keeps his attention!!

Saturday, July 17th, we headed to Lagoon with Harris Research! It was a short day (we were slow getting down there and had to leave early), but just right with kids and the HOT weather! It was also my last day of my maternity leave:-(. It was such a fun day with my family!

Here's Bunts and Dad on the dragon ride. I'm not sure what it's called, but it's FAST! Sheena and I took Hunter and Brody on it last year and were dang surprised at how fast it is! I think Hunter liked it this year. For sure he liked it better than last year!

And our family! After rides, we headed to the Terrace that Harris Research was at and played BINGO and won $10 (better than a kick in the pants). They had a bunch of games/prizes for kids, which we missed but Jess got Hunter some squirt guns and he thought those were the BEST! We all got squirted and then some! We inherited a few of them!! We had Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and Chicken for dinner and enjoyed good company!

What a Happy Max!! Hunter likes the stroller too! Then we headed home. I told you it was a quick trip. We did get to stop at Cutler's on the way home, YUMMM! What a nice hubby I have!!! Jess had to get home for Nick Summer's bachelor party. The boys and I just relaxed at home, rode scooters, played outside, I gave them a bath, and cried and cuddled them 'cause I didn't want to leave them to go to work in the morning. They are getting so big!! Things to remember:

Hunter..

..Can sing the ABC's all the way through and correct and "Jesus Said Love Everyone"

..lately when he's singing and I'm not looking at him and then I do look at him he puts his hand out to stop me and says "no, no" like he's embarrassed and doesn't want me to watch.

..growl like a dinosaur, so he tells me, ALL the time! The other day he scared Max twice when he did that and had to go to time-out. We were talking about it before he got out and he said "no growl at Max, I rarrrr." What a little turkey!

..helped feed Max his bottle after we got home from Lagoon "a goon" he calls it. He's such a good big brother!

..loves to give Max a "tiss"and a "love" and to "lay by Max." On the 4th of July, we were at Carol's and getting ready for church(we both had to speak) and I got Hunter out of the pack 'n play and Max was in our bed. Hunter went over to the side of the bed and said "give Max tiss" so he did and then he walked around the other side of the bed and said "Hunter lay, Mommy lay." It was so dang cute!! He used to hate to climb back into bed with me, but he kinda likes it now and I LOVE it!!

..isn't really interested in going potty on the toilet. We'll work on that after disneyland!

..is excited to meet Mickey "and donald and goofy and pluto and daisy and minnie"

..is growing like a weed! He's 3 months old today!!!!

..LOVES the tub, bouncer, and just laying flat on the floor

..is losing some of his hair in the back (Hunter never lost any, at least that was noticeable)

Mmmm, I could just snuggle him right up, well I actually was at the time!! I love how sweet and peaceful babies look when they are sleeping! He's such a good baby and I love hime to pieces!! Just had to share and OF COURSE I couldn't just choose one! Sweet Dreams!

Another haircut and other randomness - July 16th!!

My cutie boys in there jammies. I usually lay Max on the floor in the morning while I get Hunter breakfast and Hunter LOVES to lay on the floor by Max!!

It was time for another haircut!! Jess really wanted to buzz it, but I just couldn't bring myself to cut all of his hair off!! He has ALWAYS had hair, so I just cut it short with the clippers. Probably not the best, but it works!! I just looked at some pictures of Hunter when he was a baby and I CANNOT believe how much dang hair he had!!

Jess didn't think I took off very much, but there's the pile of hair! That's a lot, I think! I bet I cut 1 to 1 1/2 inches off!

And this is jsut random, but Hunter's shoulder blades stick out when his arms are lifted up! I noticed sometime during the 1st year of his life. Had the doctor look at them, but no concerns. He never complains of them, but they usually don't poke out that much! I'm pretty sure he's double jointed. Anyhow, I've never taken a picture of them, so I thought I'd better while I thinking about it.

The OLD and the NEW
As many of you know I have needed a new mug for some time now! My mug (which was almost brand new) got stuck under the seat of my car when Jesse used the electronic control to move the seat and cracked it! I've probably had a cracked mug for at least 3 years if not more! It was only cracked on the outside so it held liquid (mostly Diet Coke:-)) just fine!! I have washed it in the dishwasher multiple times and each time the insulation swells a little more and the crack gets bigger! You wouldn't believe the comments I've gotten over the years but if nothing else it has been a great topic for conversation!! When I've paid at various gas stations for a refill, the employees have seen it and reacted like it was broken and was gonna spill all over. Multiple people have asked "Did you know your mug is cracked?" Yep, I sure do!!!! And many, many more!! Why haven't I just gotten a new mug you ask? Because this brand of mug is my absolute favorite and because I get cheaper refills with a Mooch's mug! My good friend Margo was able to track me down a mug. It's used, but looks brand new and was FREE!!! I put them both in the dishwasher to sanitize the new one and I have no idea why I washed the old one, when I got them out I noticed a crack on the inside of my old mug! She was a trusty old thing and lasted to the very end!! I'll miss ya, but I guess I have to move on!!!

And I can't believe how big and strong Max is getting!! He's one month away from being 3 months old!!!!!! He sat in the bumbo tonight for like 20 minutes while I was cooking dinner. His neck is still getting strong, but he's getting pretty good at holding his head up! Occasionally his head would slump a little but then he would lift it right back up!! What a big boy!!!

He was very hungry and was such a good boy to wait patiently! But he going to town on that hand of his!! I LOVE HIM!!!!

I had just gotten Max out of the tub and Hunter was still in and told me he needed to go potty so I got him out and he tried. He hadn't pooped yet so I thought for sure he would go, but no success yet, guess we'll just keep trying!! Any potty training secrets or advice??? I would love them!!! But here's his cool football seat!! It has definitely made him feel more secure sitting on the toilet and wanting to try!

*cAmPiNg* July 9-11th

This past weekend we went camping up Blacksmith Fork with Gentry and Tyson. Kevin, Jen, and Jorie came up for dinner on Friday night. Scott, Tammy, and Tanner stayed up Friday night and Holly was up for most of the day Saturday and came back up to stay Saturday night. Carol came up for a bit Saturday afternoon after her golf tourny. And Brady and Jenna and Clint, Ains, Carlee, and Phoebee came up Saturday afternoon. We took Carol and Grant's trailer, because ours is packed full of stuff from our move!! Thanks so much you guys for letting us borrow the trailer!! It was SO fun to see everyone and such a nice weekend with PERFECT weather!!

Bunts and Dad. Hunter's finally going to get to use his fishing pole!! Grant found this little pole at the trout farm and gave it to Hunter. He now LOVES to fish!! I was REALLY worried about camping wiht him because the river is right there. I'll bet he spent a good couple of hours on the bank of the river just practicing his casting but never got in the river!! He was so good!!! Tys is in the background fishing!

On Saturday, Bunts wanted to go swimming. So Dad got on some b-ball shorts and took him! We were not planning on swimming so Hunter had to just wear his diaper. He was so cute and was asking for Hunter's swim diaper!! (Lately he talks in 3rd person all the time).

Nope, he didn't jump in because he got sidetracked by a HUGE fish!! That's what he pointing at!! He was all blown away by it, it was like when you're hunting and get buck fever. Ha ha ha!! It was so dang funny!!!!

So He and Holly spent the next hour or more trying to catch that dang fish!!!! We had some good laughs!!! I wished I would have got my video camera out!

Jess snagged it a couple times, but the darn thing got off both times. The "HUGE" fish was kind of dumb but obviously smart too, because they sure couldn't catch him, but he stayed in the same spot most of the time. He just would bite the hook. Here's Jess trying to snag him and Holly telling him where to place the hook.

So when they couldn't get him with a hook, they decided they try to catch him with a net. Holly had a net (with a short handle) in her car and Jess had a fence post in his truck, so tied the net to the pole! This was seriously like Survivor! It was so dang funny!! Jess was so intense through the whole process!!

Just lookin' at that darn fish but still didn't catch him!! They FINALLY gave up and we ate some lunch!! Better luck next time I guess!
