Hunter's 1st day of DayCare!!

Today was Hunter's 1st day of DAYCARE!!! He's been watched by so many people: Tasha, my mom and dad, Carol, Gentry and Tyson, Lesley, Tonya, Jen, and more. My parent's help soooo much during the summer and Gent has too, but school's back in session, so for now he's going to Best Friends Daycare at the hospital , just 1-2 days per week. Jess took him today, but I didn't want to miss his first day, so I just ran over when he got there, so we could take him together. There was only 1 other child there, who was an infant, when we got there. Hunter just got right down out of Jess's arms and went straight for the books and toys. He didn't even cry, I only cried for a minute, and then I was fine. I'm so glad he didn't cry, it makes it a lot easier on the mom. I know he's in good hands. I did call to check on him, but only 3 times. I'm sure they were getting sick of me. Apparently Hunter was very good and just played the whole time. They said he pick up random things liek a toy banana and walk around talking on it like it's a phone. He does that all the time, so I'm glad he was just being his normal self and having a good time. I could hear him talking in the background one time when I called. One thing I was worried about was nap time. The kids are divided up into rooms according to age. He's in the fishy room, ages 0-2. There's a divider that separates the infants from the 1 year olds. Nap time is from about 12-3 pm. The older kids just have mats, that they lay on the floor and they lay down and go to sleep. Hunter is not one who will just lay down and go to sleep. He has to be confined in his crib or carseat, occasionally if he's really tired, he'll fall asleep when I rock him. But apparently he took a nap and hap no problem going to sleep. They turn down the lights and turn on music like Enya or something. If the kids need rocked or their face tickled, they'll do that, but it's amazing, the whole place just goes to sleep. So, I think it was a good day and I think he will have a lot of fun! He loves kids and new toys. And they do all kinds of educational activities that I don't do like I should, so I'm excited for him to have that exposure. Jess did say that Hunter ran right to him when he saw Jess.

saying ought-o and 1st time saying ba-bye

Just a little video if you want. Sorry that's it's turned sideways at the beginning, you just have to turn your head. I love how Hunter says ought-o, so I wanted to get it on camera. Well at the very end I said bye-bye, and he said back to me for the very 1st time. I was excited I caught it on camera!!!! Jess loves when he opens up the paper. He says it reminds him of an old man sitting down to read the paper.

Just a little update

Well since Jess has been home we have been going about 100 miles an hour. We've been working, cleaning apartments, painting with oil-based paint (not so fun, but funny to watch Jason after he's been painting), and just running. We celebrated Jess's birthday and Misty's at his mom's the Sunday after he got home. Monday we had a family party with my dad's side of the fam, so we celebrated there too. The next Sunday, the 16th we celebrated my dad's birthday which was the 12th and Jeremy's birthday which was the 18th! These aren't the greatest pictures, but they're all I've got. I know, I'm slacking in the photo dept.

Random: Do we grow wierd potatoes or what? I'm not sure if they are x-rated vegies pictures or not!

Hunter and Jorie
Jorie came to play last Thursday. Jorie loves the vegies puffs things, so everytime she comes, I get them out. Well, that's really the only time Hunter show a lot of interest in them. Hunter climbed right up in the chair and they shared some apple-strawberry puffs. They played so good together. Hunter was so funny at lunchtime. I had him in his highchair and Jorie in the Bumbo on the table, feeding them mac 'n cheese. I would hold Jorie's sippee to help her take drinks, and everytime I took the sippee out of her mouth, Hunter would just laugh hysterically. It was too funny! I can't believe how big they are getting.
And last but not least, this was just too cute and funny. Hunter was kind of whining/crying last Friday morning. I went to check on him, because he has got both feet stuck in between the slats of the crib, one in the front and the other in the side, so he really coudn't get out when that happened. So, now I check for that. Anyway, I went in and this is what I found. I pushed his little legs back into the crib, and he pushed them right back out and went back to sleep. What a stinker.

Hunter's 16 month "Cowboy Pictures"

Well, this was pretty fun! I took Hunter down to Jon's farm to take some pictures. I think they turned out pretty cute! Be prepared, there's quite a few pictures, I just couldn't narriow it down any more. I took like 450 pictures, so I thought I did pretty good. And can you believe out of that many pictures, I didn't hardly get many smiles from Hunter! I guess that's the problem with taking your own kids pictures. We need to practice more I guess! I'm slow posting these, because I gave one to Jess for his B-day, and I wanted to surprise him. And yes, Jess is HOME!!! We are so happy to have him home!!! He got home on his birthday at about 9:30 p.m., how's that for celebrating? We love him soo much!! We also recovered from being sick last week! (We as in and in order: Hunter, myself, Grandma Carol, Tyson, and Gentry) I'm so sorry we got you all sick!!! But thanks so much for all your help with Hunter!!

This is one of my favorites!!!
Hunter was just in awe with the horses. I had a hard time even getting his attention for a while, he was pretty in to them.
Grandma and Grandpa were so nice to catch a horse for Hunter to sit on. He wasn't to sure about sitting on the horse, but he did alright. He also doesn't really love his hat. He just takes it off and throws it on the ground.
Here he is in action. Don't mind that I forgot to take the tag off of his boot.
Loving the tractor
And thanks to Grandma coming to act silly to get Hunter's attention, he finally smiled!!

There are so many more, but these are just a few of my favorites!!!!! Hunter also said a new word tonight. He said "bye-bye" and I even caught it on camera. I was recording him saying "ought-oh" because I think it's cute how he says it. Then I tried to get him to say a few other thing, and then I said bye-bye, and he repeated it clear as day! What a cutie! I could just eat him up!!!! I love him to pieces!!!!

Highlights of our past week!

I've created a monster aka a couch potatoe! Hunter loves to sit in our recliner when he watches cartoons. The other day I caught him like this. I just thought it was a cute picture!!

Who doesn't love a powdered donut??

Misty and the boys gave Hunter this jeep. I haven't got it out to see how he likes it yet, we'll wait for dad. I was walking aroung the yard the other day changing water and turning on sprinklers and Hunter found the jeep on his own and was in heaven! He was grinning from ear to ear!! He already loves to push the windshield frame down.
Should we be worried??

Hunter also got his 1st tattoo. My mom had a bunch of bug tattoo's, and I thought it was cute that it matched his bug collector jammies!! He was working really hard at brushing his teeth.

Thursday, August 6th, we had a park day. Unfortunatley not everyone could be there, and we missed those who weren't, but we had a great day!!! It was way windy, but it kept the temperature comfortable. Here's Brody, Bridger (in his carseat), Hunter, Sheena, and Ashley

Kiesha, Autumn, and Tyler

River, Samie, and Riley playin' on the slide

And all the kids: Autumn, Tyler, River, Sam, Riley, Brody, Bridger, and Hunter! What a bunch of cuties!!!

Hunter and I
And here's Hunter on the slide! One day I'll have more pics of him smiling than not, I hope! He was acting funny all day yesterday. He didn't eat hardly anything, and last night we went to Tyson's sister reception and Hunter threw up 2 different times. I stopped at Ridley's on the way home to get some Pedialyte and right after we walked in the doors, he started throwing up again, A LOT! I had taken a rag in, just in case, but it wasn't doing the trick! I told a worker that the floor probably needed to be mopped and that I was sorry! I took him outside and he was done for the moment, so I buckled him in his carseat. I was about in tears, sitting in the parking lot, and was debating whether I should take him back to Millville and have my dad watch him while I ran to Walmart or Macey's. Our kind of neighbor, Cordell Pulsipher was in the store when Hunter had thrown up and he walked out and offered to help. He was SO kind to sit with Hunter while I ran in to buy some pedialyte. It's amazing that Heavenly Father knows us so well and knows just what we need when we need it. Cordell will never know how much I appreciated that! We had a long night. I got Hunter in the tub when we got home, and he started throwing up, so I hurried and held him over the toilet. I think he threw up like 6 more times, the last being at 3:50 am! We both slept on the floor with towels underneath and around Hunter. He's feeling better today, but still not 100% He's drank fair but only ate like 5 fries and 1/2 a chicken nugget for dinner. I just sat cried with him through the night when he would throw up, because he would just cry every time he did. It broke my heart and he had no idea what was going on. So, I'm hoping it was just a 24 hour thing. My dad came out and mowed our lawn this morning, and he will never know how much that means to me and how much I appreciate him and my mom and all they do for us. My plan was to mow my own lawn and do a bunch of other stuff, but there's no way I could have done it today with Hunter. He just wanted to be rocked and held. The best news of all is that Jess will be home in less than 24 hours!!!!!!
Friday night, we rode over to the fair with my parent's and just walked around for a little bit. Hunter wasn't so fond of the animals, neither was my mom. He really just didn't feel good. He did get all dressed up for the occasion though. I brought his cowboy hat, but forgot to even try to put it on, but he always just takes it off. I took pictures of him in his cowboy clothes the other day, so those will be coming in a future post.

He's pretty careful to examine and make sure he's aware of what animals are doing when they are around him.
He really didn't like the pigs. I tried to get him to stand up to the gate, but he didn't like that idea. I'm pretty sure a lot of it was because he didn't feel good and he was tired.

They had this little carriage that was all lit up, so it was a good photo op. I should have turned my flash off, so the lights would have shown up better, oh well! Thanks again to all our family while Jess has been gone!!

Water Slide Party!!!!

Last Saturday, August 1st, Aunt Karen had reserved this area in Wellsville at The Bear River Bottom's Resort (I really don't think that's what it's called, but I can't remember the real name). It was so much fun and so refreshing in the HOT weather!!
There's 2 water slides, a smaller one (which wasn't running), and then this BIG one!! It was a blast! It took me back to my good old primary days (almost). You remember, the slip'n slides with dish soap, those were the days!! We didn't use dish soap and it's a good thing, this slide was big, steep, fast, and so much fun!!! Here's some pics of the fam.
Waiting in line for snow cones, YUMMM!!
And enjoying snow cones!
Ton and Logan, nice splash!!

Linc, Ella, and Jer. They always seemed to end up backwards!

Jason, Kyler, and Kaden, and I think Kirsten squished in there too, but I can't remember.
Jer and Ton's fam

Hunter and I's first time down the slide. I screamed all the way down, I forgot I was the parent and was supposed to be the brave one! I felt bad, 'cause that scared Hunter more than he was already!

So fun!
We always ended up on our backs! Poor Hunter just clung to me after we were on our feet again. He wasn't so much a fan. I did take him down one more time, but he just cried. So, that was the end of that for him:).
Hunter loves straws! He loves to take them out of drinks wherever he can find them and no matter who's they are, or he'll fish them our of the garbage can at our house if they're visible. Poor deprived kid:)! In fact, a couple weeks ago I was telling my mom how I felt bad that Hunter doesn't have a favorite blankie or stuffed animal or something, and that I was a bad mom and was going to cause him to have emotional problems or something. It actually is a good thing, I guess. When my mom watches him, she gives him plastic baby spoons to play with when she's feeding him, and he loves them. Well, the other day I went to lay him down for a nap and he had a plastic take 'n toss forkin his hand. When I layed him down I took it out of his hand because I didn't think it was a good idea for him to sleep with it, but they're not sharp. As soon as I took it away he just cried, so I gave it back to him and he quit crying and layed right down and went back to sleep. So, I guess he's attached to baby plasticware:)!

Here's Hunter and I (and Brian)! We had a water fight right after this, because he thought he was funny pouring ice cold water on me! Cousins...what would ya do without 'em! Thanks Blotter's for a fun day!!!!
